SPANISH BUNGALOW

A SPANISH BUNGALOW IN PALO ALTO

Many of the Bay Area’s finest gardens are located on the San Francisco peninsula, and the Gamble Garden tour provides a rare opportunity to see some of the area’s finest. Our garden was not yet finished when our clients were invited to participate in this year’s tour. The theme was “California Creative.” We designed this garden with a Spanish theme to complement the 1930’s architecture, but with a slight twist that places it squarely in the context of the New California Garden. The tour leaders particularly praised the use of space on this small lot… absolutely every square inch of the garden is livable space. Notice that the new driveway functions as an extension of the entry patio, and even the small dog run has it’s own Collezione pot.
